Intentions for the New Year

My intentions for the new year is every time I get a five dollar bill I will save it. This will help me save money. So that by the end of 2017 I will have money to buy myself what I want. Another intention is to go to Fenwick for high school for 2017 and get good grades. I want to focused on sports too. For example, swimming, soccer, and cross country.

A Gift That I Have Recieved That Is Special To Me

One gift that I have gotten and that means a lot to me is when my grandpa got me my first paints and paint brushes. He got it for me for I think it was my 10th birthday. This gift meant so much to me because I realized how much I like painting and drawing. Since then I have gotten so much better at painting and drawing. I'm not an "artist" but I enjoy doing lots of arts and crafts. It's a way I like to spend my free time. And that's a gift that meant a lot to me.

Favorite Quote

One of my favorites quotes is by Oprah Winfrey. It says, "Do what you have to do until you can do want you want to do." What this quote means to is to work hard in what you don't like so for it would be school so that in future you can be successful. It also makes the negative things look a little more positive because without the things you don't like you can't get tot the things you do like. This quote because it reminds me of what my mother always tells me. She always tells me to work hard in school right now so that in the future I can get the job I want and buy the stuff I want, which I want to do. This is why this is important one of my favortie quotes.

What I'm Thankful For

I'm thankful for a lot of things of in life. Too many to count or to write down in this blog but I will just list a few. I am so thankful for my amazing friends. Most of them have always stuck by my side no matter what. They are there for me when sad and need someone's presence. My friends always seem to make me laugh in the stupidest ways but I wouldn't trade them for a thing. I am also thankful for my parents. My parents have always done everything they can to give me what I need in life. Whenever I have wanted to try a new sport or something in school they have been super supported. They are super caring and I love them to death. The last thing I am going to talk about the I am grateful for are my two brothers. No matter how annoying they get, or how much they bug me I will always love them. These are a few things I am grateful for.

Blogging Tips

One blogging tip I have to work on is coming up with better blog titles. My titles for blogs are usually  really boring. I almost never come up with creative blog titles. My titles are always so simple. Choosing a creative blog title can be important because the title is one way that you attract readers. If a blog has a cool titles readers will think that the blog will be interesting to read. Another blogging tip that I should work on is to just try. I need to work on this one because I usually always care what people think about me. Rather it's about what I'm writing or my interests. Trying new things on your blog is important because it helps your readers know more about you as a person.

Where Have You Gone?

One place that I have gone to is New Orleans, Louisiana. One reason I liked New Orleans is because of the music. In the French Quarter there was always music playing. Rather it was a little parade marching down the street to a band sitting on the corner of a sidewalk. Once we were walking along the sidewalk and we saw these two little kids, both younger then 10. They were sitting on a crates and each had two buckets of different sizes in front of them. They each had drum sticks and were playing on the buckets. At first I thought they were just going to make random noises but it sounded so good. Each boy was playing a different beat but somehow the sounds all went together. Another reason why I liked New Orleans is because of th food. New Orleans has foods from all type of cultures.  Some that I heard before some that I haven't. I think my favorite restaurant in New Orleans was called Commanders Palace. The deserts were really good there. These are some reasons why I really liked New Orleans.

Summer Reading Blog

The book I chose is Paper Towns by John Green. So far in the book the main character Quentin Jacobsen also know as "Q" and Maqtgo Spiegelman. Quentin a nerdy dark-haired boy, is in love with a popular blonde haired girl who live across the street. Margo is the type of person who is super rebellious and breaks rules. WhileQuentin on the other hand is a straight A student who never breaks any rules. One day Margo showed up at his window in the middle of the night. Margo asked Quentin to drive her around town while she goes on one of her adventures. Quentin didn't want to seem like the type of person who doesn't like to have fun so he agreed. They went to the houses of people who have betrayed Margo's trust. For example, her ex-boyfriends Jase's house whop cheated on her with one of her best friends, Becca. They vandalized cars, houses, and walls/ They broke in to places all night. The night came to an end and Quentin thought everything would be different at school the next day but he was wrong.
On page 70, it says, "Fine but when SeaWorld Incorporated, or whatever sends a letter to Duke University saying that miscreant Quentin Jacobsen broke into their facility at four-thirty in the morning with a wild-eyed lass at his side, Duke will be, mad. Also, my parents. (Green 70) Thos shows that Quentin really cares about getting into Duke and making his parents proud. While Margo on the other hand does really crazy things without even thinking what her parents will do when they find out, she also couldn't care less about going to an university.
In the text it says, "Everyone's demented with the mania of owning things. All things paper-thin and paper-frail. And all the people, too. I've lived here for eighteen years and I have never had nice in my life come across anyone who cares about anything that matters." (Green 57-58) This detail is important because it shows that Margo isn't just the popular girl everyone thinks she is. Margo cares about a lot of stuff and she's a really deep thinker. I guess Margo feels disappoint that the fact people don't really care.
Some comments that I have is that Margo really believes in revenge. The whole trip was planned to get revenge to the people that hurt her. She's doing illegal stuff just to get back at people. I've also notices that Marog doesn't treat Quentin in the best way. He's in love with her and treats her so well but she doesn't treat him so well sometimes.
   

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

    My personal goal is to be valedictorian for both middle school and high school. I'm going to try my very best at everything I do in school. Such as my grades, sports, and any other clubs I will decide to do. I want to be valedictorian because high schools and colleges look at that type of stuff. Another personal goal I have is to make it in the high school of my choice, which Fenwick. I want to get into Fenwick because it's a really good high school with good education and sports. After that I want to go to med school because I want to help people. I don't know what specially I want to do with there is a lot to chose from but I think I want to be surgeon. I want to be a surgeon because I can imagine that there is such a rush and thrill to saving people's lives like that.To see the happy faces of the families of those you've helped, it must feel great.
     When I look 10 years ahead in the future I am hopefully on my path to becoming a surgeon. By then I will most likely have my med school degree. 10 years from now I would also love to travel in Europe with someone I love, maybe a friend or family member. I would like to travel because when I am old and wrinkly I don't want to regret traveling to places I really want to see.
     What I want to do with my life is to hopefully one day settl down and have kids. I hope I find the right guy sometime isn the future. But before that I need to get a good education and career. What I want to do with my career like I mentioned before is become a surgeon. Another reason why I want to become a surgeon is because I will need to be able to support my family and myself. The way I am going to do that is by making money, and I'm going to make money buy doing something I love.
     Another dream I have is to go to med school in England. I don't which med school yet. I want to go to England because me and my best friend Angie have this plan that when it's time to go to college we would go to England together. I'm not sure of this plan wiall work out but it would be amazing to go to England.
      I'm a little undecided because there's so much in life to choose from. I don't want to miss out on anything. As of right now I want to go to med school but maybe next year I want to go to law school. I'm not sure yet but as of today I really want to be a surgeon. I also want to travel and be adventurous while I can because once time is gone, it's gone.
